At Yogini, our aim is to enhance positivity, wellness and harmony in individuals, environment and the global community at large. We understand that individuals are a combination of elements that can be brought to harmony using a comprehensive approach through the science of life or Ayurveda and Yoga.
Yogini products are created using all natural ingredients in such a way, that not only the offerings of Mother Nature are meticulously maintained but also, scientific research is thoroughly embedded in the final output. Thus, we can confidently say that each and every product of Yogini is genuine and authentic.Yogini: Honoring the Sacred Feminine
We use the name Yogini as the name of the brand to honor the sacred feminine in our world. As we are awakening, there needs to be more of a connection to feminine energy. When we say feminine energy we don’t mean only women, as feminine energy represents self -love, compassion, honoring nature and the state of surrender. These are the values we need and is what we stand for. We want the women of the world to discover their own self -love and the goddess within when using our line of products.
The vision for Yogini Ayurveda arose from an intention to share Holistic, Authentic, and Natural products with people around the world and at the same time support small artisans and farmers in India as well as the keepers of the ancient knowledge of Ayurveda. We wanted to create products, which infuse the authentic knowledge of Ayurveda and make it available in contemporary times.
In Sanskrit “Ayur” means life science and “Veda” means knowledge. Ayurveda means the “Science of Life”. The Yogini Ayurveda line is using the ancient science of Ayurveda, that is the sister science of Yoga. We have all seen how Yoga is transforming lives and expanding. As we bring ayurvedic products and lifestyle into our lives, it will help us on our yogic transformational journey of mind, body and soul.
At Yogini Ayurveda we believe that nature is the greatest intelligence that there is. The further we move away from nature, the more diseases there are. The more we live in alignment with nature, the more harmonious our life is. As we come closer to nature, our own natural beauty shines. The purpose in designing Yogini Ayurveda products is not just enhancing beauty, but also to be used as healing tools to balance our energy and elements, bringing us back into rhythm with nature.
At Yogini, we follow a simple rule, that if we cannot eat anything we will not use it as an ingredient in our products. The reason for this is that, our skin ingests substances from the products we apply on it. The ingested substances from the skin enters the blood stream far more quickly than the food we eat, which is first chewed, swallowed and then absorbed.Yogini Ayurveda is Natural!
Our products are not intended to create artificial beauty, or an artificial way of living. We use the ancient knowledge of Ayurveda and Yoga in the development of our products so that they are designed to bring us closer and closer to nature, to SELF, not the other way around. The products that we have created are in alignment with nature’s intelligence and contain no harsh chemicals or synthetic products. Our team designed our products with deep research and analysis to come up with the formulations that would be most beneficial for us. When we use chemicals on our skin it creates stress and imbalance in the body because the body has to work under stress. It then creates confusion in the body’s natural intelligence. When we are using natural products without harmful chemicals it is much healthier in every way.
Our goal as a company is to be sustainable and supportive in ethical manufacturing practices as well as have zero impact on nature. We believe in Ahimsa, or non-harming, as all of our products are naturally made, not tested on animals and have harmed no one.
Our line is handmade in partnership with local farmers, technicians and Acharyas, or doctors of Ayurveda, in small boutique locations in remote villages of the Himalayas and various Ayurvedic clinics. We use strict quality controls and hand-package the products in Rishikesh, India, the birthplace of yoga.
Everything has its own unique expression. We don’t believe in making huge mass production because it makes it difficult to maintain authenticity, quality and the integrity of the product. Instead of having one central manufacturing unit, which is the commercial model, we are applying a model manufacturing in these small particular locations where the ingredients used are grown and readily available therefore we don’t need to store them. This model helps keep the carbon footprint to a minimum and increases the quality of the product because the ingredients are fresh and have not been transported for long distances. Once the product has been made we bring it back to our central packaging location in Rishikesh and it is hand-packaged by local artisans, thereby providing employment to women from local villages.
